Motherboard hole dia.
I just need to know the diameter of the motherboard mounting holes. And/OR what size you drill the holes in your blocks.

Most are 0.150" (spec), but some follow the old spec of 0.210" diameter.
The first one will accept a 6-32 machine screw. Nylon is OK to use for those; if you use metal screws, it's always preferable to use some kind of washer (nylon/cardboard) to make sure that the screw's head (or nut) doesn't short a trace on a mobo (rare, but it occasionally happens). (edit: old size was 0.210, not 0.0210) Last edited by bigben2k; 02-23-2003 at 01:00 PM. |

You will have to check the board you plan to use and drill them accordingly or just make them 3/16" (.1875") and use whatever bolts fit. I had a MSI board and they where .15" and I had a ABIT board where they where .21".
Non the less common sence should get you through this one ah? |
