what does it mean for a peltier to be "potted".
sorry but had to ask

a peltier is made up of 2 "sheets" of ceramic, with silicon in between them.. Normally you can see the silicon between the sheets, a potted peltier has silicon caulking around the outside edges, between the 2 sheets, so that condensation doesn't form inside the peltier..
