Sneak Peek at my YY Cube...(Warning-Large Photos)

I've spent most of the day cleaning up the apartment after
using it for a workshop, so I'm pretty damn tired. I didn't
get as much done as I had hoped, and I even missed a LAN
party cause the paint was still tacky.

This is just the first half of Phase one.

When I regain my energy (a week of cutting and painting takes
a lot outa ya!), I'll put all the hardware back into it.

Phase two will be customizing the electronics (you will see what
I mean when I get there)

Phase three will be tweaking, OCing, and probably further sound
deadening.

After that, I have a whole nother project that I put aside so as I
could work on this one...

And no, the paint doesn't look that goofy in person. The flash
really lit up the metal flakes. It's a holographic paint that gives
the illusion of being about an inch or so deep. It's like looking
into a sky full of stars...till some damn fool hits it with a camera
flash...then, BLAM, Ghetto Flake!

Sorry the photos are so large...I was too tired to color adjust
them or resize them.

that looks seriously cool, although I'd prefer to have a little less of the flakes though

To those that E-mailed me.

Yes, there is glass. It was just VERY clean for the photos.

Yes, I did cut out that space between the IO ports and
the side of the case, I need to buy/borrow a nice vice or some
other bending tool to bend a grill for that area.

And yes, it is ghetto flake. As I said in the post, it looks that way
now because the flash lit it up. So it doesn't look that fruity in
person, unless your being followed by a big budget film crew
with a lighting setup for the next Jim Carmron movie...

I think that paint looks like it's going to be "tacky" for a while...

Seriously though the fit and finish looks great!

Hehe, funny LC.
I found myself saying the same thing.
I hope to have it assembled (as far as it is) by this weekend.
I've been busy with my new job and haven't had time to put
it all together...and I'd like to get another pump. This old
Leufkin one that he sent me is a bit slow with the flow...

Well I'm done with assembly, I just have to clean up the wiring, buy a few more parts now that I see how everything fits, and
touch up some of the paint I scratched! LOL

I'm sorry I don't post all of these here, just follow the link to the
web board for the SETI team I belong to, here:
