LCD software
ok, need some recommendations from those of you with similar hardware. I just rigged up a 2x16 lcd i pulled out of a phone the other day. its got the standard HD44780 controller in it. (viewing area 15/16"x3 7x8" ) i got it running using lcdcenter 3.0 the only problem is that it won't read off of MBM like its supposed to. i've got the latest version of MBM installed on my machine and it works. so my question is - what are some of the commonly used freeware lcd software packages out there? or any thoughts as to why lcdcenter isn't working for me? thanks a lot.

you could try the crystalcontrol software; I think it works with HD44780s.

pH, thanks for the heads-up for the crystalcontrol software, it works beautifully! heck of a lot more intelligent than lcdcenter. we now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.
