Unless you have a Dallas 1-wire microcontroller setup this isn't going to be much good. Even then I am not sure if free samples are really designed for people who don't have any plans of purchasing equipment in the future from the company.

Having said that, I would guess you could use this with the CF 633 if you could hack together a little code.

The schematic still connects to a Dallas 1 wire setup. If you don't have one of those then the product you ordered (though quite cool) is not much use.

Well Ill be able to rip off the temp sensor anyways, that will save me a $1.99.

But say I want this Dallas 1...Where can I get it?

The sample you ordered is the sensor only, not the interface chip. What would you connect it to? How would you read anything from it?

Are ya'll just thrilled about getting something for free?

If you took the time to read the specs, you'd see that it's only accurate to +/- 0.9C, within 0 to 40C. It also says to keep it away from UV light, or any strong light, to keep the leads under 4 inches in a ventilated area, and that it is very sensitive to static.

You can order a testing kit, if you're willing to fork out the $300+.

Forget about it...
