Tell me about the SATA converted units...

What are the size limits, what OS, etc. I may very well be interested!

Thanks!

Not much to tell at this point.

They are PATA to SATA Adapters that have been modified a bit (trimmed and such) to fit in a Snap 4400, 4200, 4500, 15000 to make it usable for SATA drives.

It works with drives up to 2TB that I know for sure. I cannot say for the 2.5TB or 3TB drives since I have not had any (nor likely to get any) for testing. I would bet that would be morea restraint of the GOS, not the hardware. My guess though is that 2TB drives will be the max.

1TB require GOS 4.4 or above. I do not know if it will work with larger that 1TB drives (have not tested it), but I know works with 2TB drives with GOS 5.x.

A Mod to the tray (but can still be used for PATA later if desired) is required, but is easy enough to do.

The rest can be read in the reviews posted by a couple people who now have them in another message thread....

Hope that helps....
