Brucoman,

Those Part numbers you posted are for panel mounting and for use with 1/2 tubing? I'm afraid I'm a bit messed up with all those "Thread type" thingies in English... :shrug:

Would those two part nº be the ones I should order to setup my system as I specified (avoiding spill when disconnecting, at both sides)

Could you please post some photos?

I got my Colder couplings (the same ones that are featured in the photos and part numbers above), and my first thought when I saw the double shutoff mechanism was "extreme flow restriction".

Even though these are marketed as high flow, it looked as though they could not possibly deliver.

I decided to do a bit of non-scientific testing and these passed with flying colors. I put one of the fittings together and held it under the drinking water faucet on my sink. With the water turned up nearly 100% (pretty substantial flow rate), the water flowed through with no restriction or backup!

Only when the water was wide open would there be any backup at the top inlet, and then it would be minimal. I now have no reservations at all about putting these into my setup. What's more is that they are compact, high quality, and they don't weigh 2 pounds each!

In this photo I had to use the sink stopper to hold the faucet shutoff lever open in order to take the picture, so the flow rate in the photo is not nearly as high as when I tested it. Overall I am quite impressed with these.

Jetlag, you definitely convinced me. I'm going for the Colder ones right now

Now the problem is.... pricing at the one retailer in Spain I found is 18€ / each

No matter if there is shutoff or not, panel mount or not...

...and I intend to use 8 total

BioHazard, you said Usplastics do ship them to the EU? I have already sent them an email but no reply yet....

I guess I will finally be seeing light at the end of the tunnel....

The Parkers are not bulkhead style but you can mount it that way with a big washer.

I timed the water flow through the Colder couplings.... 76 seconds for 1 gal, or .79gpm
Through the Parker fittings it took 25 seconds for 1 gal, or 2.4gpm

Really think the Colder's are high flow?

I understand only a little bit about corrosion..
was not thinking the stainless steel would corrode but isn't there some kind of reaction that will happen with brass/copper?

Plastic is not particularily galvanic either.

Parkers does have the same fitting in brass if i can read their info correctly...
not a clue about cost though...

The Parker # I posted before ARE the part #'s for a 3/4" NPT

You will not buy these new, especially in SS.... set of 4 about the same for a good PC. Find them used/surplus, I did.
