CAI question
Ok I'm in Oregon and winter is coming. With winter in Oregon comes alot of rain, my question is will my intake suck up a bunch of water and kick the crap out of my motor? It is down low infront of my front right wheel. The intake is AEM brand and has an AEM filter.
Should I get a short intake or will my current setup be ok?

I love air filter reloacation pipes...
They put them down low where they can suck up hot asphalt air and water. If your AEM "air filter reloactation pipe" is the type with the AEM bypass...then no, you shouldn't have a problem. If you do not have the AEM bypass, then yes, you proably will suck up water and have a nice case of hydrolock when driving down the river.

not one that mounts down there. and, if you get one that mounts right behind the radiator like a lot of those "cold air pipes", that's pretty worthless too (although the car breathes better, 200 degree air isn't very fun). i'd suggest ram air, through the grille or hood

Ill see what I can find. I dont really like the idea of cutting a hole in my hood so I can suck air from it With my car it seems that if it were sucking from the grille it would have to be low to clear the radiators? Maybe an aftermarket hood or fenders?
