Billy "Wicked" Wilson died (http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/596/596034p1.html) yesterday March 14th, 2005. He was only 33!

This is a copy of the ve3d update (see above link).

Update - Billy's family sends long word that he passed away due to liver failure:

Billy died due to complications from liver failure. He went quickly and was in no pain. Ironically, this had nothing to do with his past problems, other than that perhaps his liver was weakened by years of "hard living". He was surrounded by his family at his passing and received much love and compassion from us in the days leading up to his death. You are welcome to post the reason for his passing. People can speculate all they want but the fact is, this was completely out of left field. He had been doing well and none of us expected this to happen. God bless you all.

Man, this hits hard. I just turned 34 and I know that 33 is too young to be dying. VoodooExtreme was the first website I went to every day, along with ShugaShack and BluesNews.

I hope you found peace, Billy.

There's way more, and he did change the face of gaming news even if you didn't like his style.
