Help with verizon email, vbulletin forum needs 2 settings changed

Dear Joe(Lead Geek): I know You might be having problems with verizon email addys and that the forum here uses vBulletin Version 3.0.7 [see below], As I have to use an msn email addy, instead of My verizon email addy, as the Wise One(Admin there) on the pcper.com forum just recently turned a feature on of the vBulletin software on that forum(pcper.com uses 3.0.3) that allows the verizon email to go from their forum to My email inbox(It's now authenticated, So It gets through instead of being deleted like so much spam email is by verizon).

I checked this forums source code and It is vBulletin Version 3.0.7 software being run here. So now It's just a matter of changing a couple of settings in the forum software(I hope) and then I can use My verizon.net email addy here and It won't land Me in the invalid user section, And My current handle is not what I'd like(Could I change My handle from zoom314 to JokerCPoC please?), But under the circumstances It does work. This will help us verizon users a lot on vbulletin as then We will be able to use our real email addy finally. So unless something has changed radically between 3.0.3 and 3.0.7 could the below actions be taken please?

Below is what is posted on http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?p=3666127#post3666127

Hey Wise One what switch was It that needed to be changed to get the verizon email addys to work with the vbulletin software? If I might ask, I'd like like to spread this bit of knowledge around to other vbulletin forums.

ACP > vBulletin Options > Server Settings and Optimization Options > Enable "-f" Parameter

Some email servers require the "-f" parameter to be sent with email calls from PHP. If you are having problems with users not receiving email, try enabling this option. In all likelihood, your problem will not be caused by this setting.

set this option to "Yes"

Thanks Joe, I see You upgraded to 3.5.1 The settings were in the Email section unless they moved them again, I found this out after I'd asked, I should have done a small edit and added that detail If I'd known You were going to upgrade from 3.0.7 to 3.5.1, Oh well It works.

You have some cool Smilies here.
