water block progress
will i finally started milling my water block
now i need to figure out what speed the bit needs to run at for copper (RPM), anyone know??? it's running at 94 RPM and it's not too smooth thx |

From what I remember of my machine classes at college there's only 2 speeds you use with copper and especially brass, stop and flat out :D

It was always my understanding that your material feed rate and depth of cut affected the issue as well. Usually you can get the info for feed rates and bit speed from manufacturer's web sites ;)

i had it up to 153 RPM and it scaired the crap out of me
it was making so much noise BTW its a horizontal mill |
