res, exacly.

TerraMex 11-08-2005 05:58 PM

right.
reservoir
what did i just say?

Scrooge 11-09-2005 03:17 PM

Ok, here´s som pictures of the reservoir:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Skrue/Tank1.jpg

From top:

Size comparison:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Skrue/Tank3.jpg

The pump, a Maxi-Jet 1000, is a space-saving direct-mount to the reservoir, witch are made of 5mm plexi.
The filler-cap are made from a plastic coke-bottle, and glued to the top with cyanoacrylate.

Feel free to ask for more pictures and details! :)

TerraMex 11-10-2005 01:12 PM

looks good,
i still have a maxijet , not in use at the moment.
it's a decent pump, but mine vibrates way too much.
is that a temp sensor on the reservoir ?

Scrooge 11-10-2005 05:11 PM

Thanks! :)
Yes, the pump is ok in many ways, but, as you say, it vibrates a bit. So there´s some certain needs to isolate the pump (and res) a little extra. Some foam-pads do the trick!

Karlmcwade 11-14-2005 12:47 PM

Scrooge can i have some more pictures of the gpu block what temps are you getting of it and is the ram cooled on the other side.

Scrooge 11-14-2005 04:46 PM

Certainly!
Here´s some more pictures.
Soldering parts together:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Skrue/G.jpg

Aligning the water-chamber:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Skrue/J.jpg

Almost done:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Skrue/I.jpg

Sealing is done by using silicone, in combination with 3mm screws.

RAM-cooling:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Skrue/R.jpg

I used the original aluminium "cooler" on the opposite side, modified with some coolersinks glued to the aluminium.

Temps are pretty nice. Atm 31degr.C, with water-temp @ 27,8degr.C.
Stressing the GPU, results in 6 to 8degrees above water-temp, so the cooler seems to do the job. :)

Karlmcwade 11-14-2005 05:37 PM

Thanks Scrooge some great work there how does the card oc with the cooler do the ram sinks make any difference to the max speed the ram can run.

MasterMiG 11-15-2005 09:41 AM

That's my water cooling. It aint much, but it's good enough. The most important issue for me was that every single component is inside the case. I ran out of space, so I had to replace neon with led fans. Though I suspected that with that much L-parts, the flow would be reduced a lot, but I was wrong. The flow is great.

A note to all; please try to keep your images to something reasonable in size, ok? ;)
(That means you, MasterMIG; I had enough time to post this, while your images were pulling up, and I'm on a fast connection at the office!)

Use a thumbnail creator if you have to. Here's a very good one that comes with a 30 day free trial:
http://www.neowise.com/etc/

If you need help creating the code to post thumbnails and link them to a bigger picture, ask a moderator; we'll show you how (until I sticky the darn instructions).

This message will self destruct in ...
