atm the homemade block i copied from you, rotor; performs about the same as my maze2 (+/- 1°C better) ; now that i have 'some' experience, the VDFC (u should pattent that one, lol) sounds like a very good design principle. that way BillA's suggestion would be met where the flow resistance at water inflow is quite substantial.

so, me personally don't think my block will do alot of asswhooping. although i expect #rotors to kick some ass, as no doubt u have refined the method considerably.

U could try at a specialized car paint store, they usually have up to 2000 grit, besides all kind of polishing stuff:D
