^ I am not sure highly restrictive blocks will give the best long term results.
We used a standard micro channel design, with very good results. The issue with very restrictive blocks is power. Do you want to add another 50W to your system just the get another 1-2C off your CPU? Not to mention the costs :( Personally I like the current blocks by Swiftech, DD and D-Tek. Good flow, very good C/W, and low power requirements. Right now as people have proven on this board, your heat exchanger is the real factor, not the cooling block. But even so, will likely have lower flow / higher pressure version. Just be aware, you are slowly getting out of the range of any small pump, and going back to large units again. Of course a couple of DDc's or MAG's and your in the 8-10 psi range, make real sure you have no leaks :) |

There's a parallel thread here at p/c. |
I have, very good work and we are sending a MAG to him for testing.
From our tests, expect the MAG performance to sit between Eheim 1250 and MCP600. Very nice to see someone showing there is only 1-2 deg between pump set up. :) |
just curious but why don't 750's run in series?
like in-out>in-out |
|
^ We believe there can be long term seal issues in this configuration.
The 750 is designed for low restriction / low back pressure operation. Also it is not a designed to run low flow, like many other DC pumps. The MAG can run zero flow 24/7, just like an AC pump, and is your best choice of these very restrictive blocks from europe. There is no need to be concerned about inlet or outlet restrictions, unlike other DC pumps, you can install as you would an AC pump like the Eheim models. |

Caveat: I've never seen a 750 "in person" and have definitely never dissected one to see the seal within - this is all from what I've read on the web - and the little bit I know about seals (was a bike mechanic a very long time ago). |
The MAG is still on pre-order at D-tek so it hasn't been shipped yet.
I have another question. How does the sound/noise level of the MAG pump compare to the 750? |
^ Very low.
We use a larger, low rpm impeller to reduce even the pumping noise. D-Tek pumps shipped, we even shipped them some more today. I know because they had to ask me for there new address. |

Even temperature wise I feel no difference between the warm water entering the pump from the block than I do exiting the pump to the radiator. Personally I think C-systems has a winner! |
Yep, and a bitch to test.
I often have to pick the test pumps up to know if there running. |
LOL ...even picking it up I'm still not always sure!
|
So how close are we to seeing some of these dave?
Curious as some sites (like dtek) have listed a 1week eta for more around a month  Still have mine preordered though :D |
^No idea for D-Tek, shipped twice to them so far that I know of.
Retail MAG's are in high demand, and we are already facing another expension do to OEM / industrial demand alone. They approved the $$ for Delrin case mold, so that will help out alot when it comes online :) C-Systems put me on for another 20 hours per week to help with contract developed products, so there goes my summer. |
Our stock arrived today - rear inlet, delrin... only received 20 or so.... rest are on their way.
|
Dtek is no longer offering pre-orders for the Mags, looks like they are ready to start shipping these beauties.
|
apparantly a shipment came in this morning and my two shipped out to me by noon.
|
Thats a good sign, hopefully my twins will ship out soon then

Im hoping for a big pump roundup soon with the Mags included, its been a while since ive seen something that really puts all the new ones to the test.
|
Also hoping for a nice review soon...
By the way, why is there no CSP-MAG pump with TOP inlet and G 1/4 port ?? |
Well, my pair shipped out this morning from Dtek
|
edit: I can't read.
