Two 50Z pumps @ 13v = 23 watt heat dump

I don't think you can include all pump heat into calculation. What amount of heat is dissipated by pump case at air?

While taking measurements for the P-Q curve I also monitored the DC current being drawn by the AquaXtreme DC pump. The applied DC voltage was held constant at 12.0 V. I measured a maximum current draw of 1.02 A (12 watts) when water flow was at its maximum and 0.71 A (8.5 watts) when the pump was operating at deadhead with no flow.

Both Harddrives WCed = 18 watts

NF4 chipset = 20 watts (guess).

Would all heat of this stuff to go into loop? Or good amount of heat is dissipated by air?

Anyway it is a good rig. Congrats.

I'm running the pumps @ 13v and inside an insulated box.

I used Cathar's heat dump here:

Although that is with the pumps @ 13.8v. Extrapolating to 13v makes that 21.6 watts heat dump.

The Harddrives are again insulated inside a box, so all of their heat will be going into the water. However, the actual dissipation is an estimate.

Thanks d00d! I'm happy with it and it clocks really well, so that's the main thing.
