exactly
you should use a relay, so it turns on with your comptuer and shuts off with your computer..... |
So where do you aquire these pumps?
|
Didn't we all decide that aquarium pumps were supposed to stay on 24/7, and that turning them on and off would shorten their lives? Why bother with the switch. Just leave the damn thing on. ;)
|
ya, no need to ground. and why shut it off? it's dead silent!

cuz the pump pumping water thru your system creats friction and creates heat, so when you start your computer up you get a HOT cpu
i found that out one time, 50c WHOA! |
must be a small rad, low volume of water and a high heat producing pump
|
I like having the pump hard wired into my psu cuz then I know that I can turn the whole thing off with the switch on the back, pump and all. not to mention it's one less wire coming out of the back of my computer.

When they come in let me know. |
They should ship on monday and I should have them sometime next week I'll pm you when they come in. I've already been using a smaller version for a long time they work well. I'll probably use about 3 different sizes for my kits. They even have a 550gph pump that looks interesting.
|
what model do you want JD? look on PC's frontpage; BeCooling has a special there for a 370gph VIAaqua pump...
