what would be best for shielding?
steel, copper, nickel-iron, lead, mesh?? |
Want me to email that engineer and ask? He had recommended I get Permalloy foil from McMaster and wrap it around the pump in a close to a sphere as I could.
If thats not an option Iron should work pretty well. Its got about 5 the reluctance of permalloy IIRC, but its easier to get. Cu and steel are about the same as air, I'm not sure about Aluminium. |
I'm looking at mcmcasters web site, they don't have permalloy.
under shielding, they list nickel and copper and some mesh. nickel being the most expensive. |
Holy shit, EMI sheilding spray paint, 1qt=$108!!!

Woudn't it be better to take a metal (leding), make some holes in it, so the heat that the pump produce get out and finaly connect it too earthe, (I would belive the best earthe connection would bee at the inntake off the AC power, so it goes right out off the case).
Then I belive you get the interfearence oway. |
