Wow, I guess i'm actually getting air through the heatercore now. I have 2 mechatronics 120 cfm fans here, and I'm about to rig up a 2nd shround and use push pull system with 120cfm fans on a pot. Question, would having my water flow this way be better, pump~> heatercore ~> block or the way I have it now pump ~> block ~> heatercore? Btw, thanx guys this thing is cooler now, I dont konw about the accuracy of the temps, but i can overclock higher. Although using a dremel to cut the case was a little messier, I might go the nibbler way next time. |
Nice !
About the order: do the shortest route for your tubes. The one with less bends. If both routes are equal in terms of tubing, *then* and only then you can consider putting the rad before the block, but the gain is very tiny. |
Alright I did everything you guys suggested. I cut a complete 120mm blowhole, then made another cardboard shround for 2 fans in push pull on my dangerden heatercore. Added the 2 mechatronics 120mm 121cfm fans running at 7v, should be around 70-80cfms. And my load temps have dropped 11 degrees C.
I dont know about the accuracy of these temps, but under load at 2333mhz 2.0v Its 43c the highest it ever gets. My room is about 72f. Wow man simply great, now to resolve the massive kinking in my system. |
Use rings of plastic or copper tube(be careful of electrical shorting!) around the worst areas to hold the round shape of the tubing, instead of it 'ovaling'...
