As for your questions, I certainly don't mind answering any that I can (some of the stuff your asking is still not public). I've copied John because he knows this stuff better than I, and I've also moved into a new position, so he'll be looking after the Athlon FX moving forward.

90nm - our current roadmap states that we will get to 90nm in the 1H of 2004._ What I can tell is that our Dresden Fab is very capable of handling this process change (and a couple more after that), so we are looking for even better performance to heat to die size ratios out of this move - not to mention more frequency.

In terms of working samples - I can't shed any more light on that, sorry.

As for Opteron, as far as I know, the part is locked - this is really a requirement for the server market, only Athlon 64 FX is an unlocked part._ As for A64FX's plans when moving forward, details are not public yet, but the part is designed to appeal to the PC Enthusiast (you can interpret that to mean what you like....)
