my controller(turbocnc=shareware) and my drives/motors have resolution to .0001" and I can set it up so it wouldnt have any problems with that. otherwize I am upgrading to mach2 cnc which is even better than that.

I wouldn't take the manufactures word on that. Also that dosn't take in other more important variables such as power supply stability, length of wires, quality of wires and a million other things not directly related to the motors and controllers. Also if your controllers were truely that good people wouldn't be paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for one's that really do have that accuracy. ;)

Jaydee, do some reading, if I had preloaded screws and a little higher quality mill I could get .0005 acuracy at least and possibly better. The only problem is that I have no need for that acuracy.

About using high speeds and high speed spindles, you could set acceleration so it starts slow and gradually gets to speed(actually quite quickly)

Your not understanding what I am saying. The mechanical properties can be .0000000000000001" accuracy but that means nothing if the controller and it's wiring are low budget. Pointless to get into though as it really doesn't matter with our mills being what we have is plenty good enough.
