The mounting holes are not equidistant from the side of the socket without the arm, and from the other side of the arm on the other side either.

Imagine that the whole socket, including the arm, is centered, and then they've gone and moved the whole socket over about 0.5mm towards the holes on the side with the arm.

The off-centre distance is 1.27mm.

whoa i didnt know that.....

which way is it off centered ? :D

Cathar is right. I just measured an old board I had laying around with a socket A.

Nice. So the mounting holes for the WB have to be moved 1.25mm to the left... good thing we figured this out :)
