i think that upload was just me copen all those files to a diff machine it uploaed whell i was at a friends i dontk now exacly what happned i am giogn to read the loogs and see if there is a recent event thanks for the help i hope ti fixed its seftl

erg nm those 27k were what was buffred on a machen were the nic had gone bad in and i replaced today my machine is still fubbar i will try to reslove useing that command but how do i know if it worked
and how many points will i losoe if i just dell the file it is hanging on ? what i the manual upload command i have it all auto

First thing to do is run folding, and then look at progress.txt. See if you have generations buffered and how many. Look in the folding directory and see how many .val and .bz2 files you have.

If it's only a few buffered gen's, it's probably easier to start with a clean install. If you have a lot, we want to save them.

Oh yeah, it would also be good to make a backup copy of the entire folding directory before starting repair attempts.

i have 243 gens bufferd and like almost 800 files in the distrbofl dir

243 generations is about 125,000 points.

Look for poipi9ac_7_poipi9ac_protein_236_0000029_min.val
and poipi9ac_7_poipi9ac_protein_236_0000029.val

They should be almost exactly the same file size. If they aren't that is definitely the problem.

With both the same size, likely both are corrupt. Best bet is the Easiest would be to copy the two line into a new .bat file in your folding directory. What's the end of your error.log look like now?

that is from 15 min ago how do i force a upload so that it throws a error to see if it is fixed also will runing that del the 236 files or every thing ?

You'll lose a few generations, but not many.

Copy this to your folding directory, run the the .bat, then post the end of your error.log again.

seems to be no diff in my score only like 10k or somethign i dindt do the math shouldnt it be liek 100k more whell ttyl i will keep checken for posts in here

looksl ike it only uploaded a few thousand so it is fualty i am going to try to restore the back up dir

i restored the back up folder and uploaded that in a very presice manor now that i know the steps that i fowled up on the orginal production folder now it apears that there was 100k plus update thanks for all your help i will keep your posted i also suspect up coming issues with the system that i replcased the nic in also will keep you posted
