whell i found electron microschope thanks to chey toy and relized that the tbird takes like 170 hours to do a wu and the 2.8 is on a 400 frame unit so neither of them have finished a unit yet to submit so they dont know it exists yet

clone 10-23-2004 03:23 PM

erg this sucks im not sure if i am insane or what i have looked my logs over and i see that i have turned in more WU then any of the stat pages say

Was this recent completed WUs? Sometimes there is a delay between the machine log and the stats page.

clone 10-24-2004 07:59 AM

whell as of right now i think i have 9 or 10 units counted but in the logs i have about 15 or 16 i just woke up and havnt checked every thing but it has been at least 12 hours sense i have submited any thing
i would assuem that that lag should be enough also on a side note the last 4 days all my machines have been running tinker core 400 frame take for ever to run and get only a coulpe hundred points becse lets be honest me helping science is a side effect of my trying to clime the point scale any way i can prevent tinker core units from dling

clone 10-24-2004 08:44 AM

correction i have credit for 10 and i have uploaded 12 the last upload was at 2004-10-23 17:09:57 PDT it is now 2004-10-24 9:44:00 EST

Chew_Toy 10-24-2004 11:35 AM

Are you counting those for Team VAPOCHILL/Waterchill Team that shows you have contributed for?

For me it's the science/research mostly. It's my line of work. I know what you mean about the points though, it's kind of addictive :) .

Did you check your logs to see if they all completed WUs?

clone 10-24-2004 04:46 PM

said completed and uploaded in electron

I don't know then. Sometimes you can get some points credit for an uncompleted or corrupted WU even though you don't get a WU completed credit.

clone 10-24-2004 07:18 PM

o well im not loosen sleep over it

Belenar 10-25-2004 02:58 AM

Thanks for bumping this topic...
Have added my main rig (AXP @ 3200+) last night...
will add my other rigs tonight

I find it kinda strange however that the procooling team only has 27 members...

threeputt 10-25-2004 09:02 AM

Arrggg..I've been overtaken...Nice going Arcturius...Damn Xeons:)

Arcturius 10-25-2004 12:20 PM

Why does everybody blame the Xeons? It's not like I'm using _that_ many of them... ;p
Oh, and I just got my wife's machine up and going again--Dual Palomino 1700+s. Should have some WUs done within another hour or so. :D

Nightfall 10-25-2004 12:34 PM

Now it's only a matter of time before you catch me too... *sigh* third place...

Caeberos 10-25-2004 12:55 PM

well guys I am finally going to start running a distributed client, sadly I only have one computer that is on for any reasonable amount of time and it is a PII 350.... how long do you suppose it will take to complete work units?

it is the linux client btw

Belenar 10-25-2004 01:55 PM

Got my P3 733 Linux box folding now too ...
Gonna get our family desktop folding too, once I got it's shutdown problem fixed (It just shuts downafter a while, after which you can power it up again. After that it will boot into whodhoze and shutdown again ... smells like a CPU or something else getting too hot no?)

@ Caeberos : A week or so, maybe even longer

@ all the others: it's not the battle for the first place in our team that matters (ok, maybe it does matter...) but imo it's the team ranking that would be cool to get up.

It seems that we're climbing up the list pretty fast but the pace up will slow down unless we get more machines signed up with 39339.

Chewtoy, Arc, Night, anybody? Are there any setting that we can set on the client that you have found that will produce larger WUs or points faster?

Phant0m51 10-25-2004 06:09 PM

Ok, I think I'm folding...

I haven't been here in a while, and remembered about Distributed Folding, so I decided to check it out. Saw it was dead, and came here to see what was up. So I'm all signed up for it now, just 1 2400+ @ 2600+ speeds with 1 Gig of RAM, so we'll see if I help out any.

mastermind2004 10-25-2004 06:34 PM

Signed up with an A64 3400+ running on screensaver, which means it will probably get about 12 hours a day in.

scooterfl 10-25-2004 07:25 PM

every bit counts! thanks guys

Phant0m51 10-25-2004 10:47 PM

no problem ;)
