It's 7"-1/4" inches. Here is a photo of the same system using the same equipment. The shroud is just a different shape. I could have made the shroud not as tall, but because the center of the fan does not blow air onto the core I wanted the fans as far from the core as I could get them.

Hey Jim, if your concern about the bottom cage and where to mount the HD's. You could always place the drives in a spare 5-1/4" bay.

you have room just below your psu for one or two hdds, and room above your psu for another hdd

Ok, looks good!
What is the item labeled "E"? Appears to be adjacent to your pump, looks like an Eheim BTW.
Also, which direction is the air moving through the heater core?

And...
How does it cool?

Jim

E looks like a fan to me. I presume his fans are blowing into the case

That system pictured belongs to a member from another forum I hang out in. Here is the link. Hoot who owns the systems is very respected person at this forum. His post should help you. He is also using a Antec case.

Jim, here is a photo of my rad in the case. Once the system is completed it will have rounded cables and I plan to opening up the P/S and remove the P4 cables as I will never use them. There is plenty of room as Brad stated either above or below the P/S for additional HD. Also there is room as shown for the pump to sit on the bottom of the case. I just want to keep everything contained inside the case.

I am eager to see your setup fly, hurry up! LOL

You have kind of an oxymoron going on in there, radiator inside a case with a HSF on the processor.

Jim

That HSF will go bye-bye once I get the water-cooling system going. The rad is only placed inside the case so you can have a visual of how it will fit.
