I hear you...just turned 31 this year, and I have the first "gut" I've ever had.

I can still flex up the six pack...but this new layer just "appeared" overnight.

I guess it's just nature...

older members of the herd plump up and slow down, makes it easier for the take down. :D

you want to lose weight? go to work for a moving company. I just moved this past week. I packed the truck by myself. It took forever. When I got to DC, I called up some movers and they came out and unloaded it. One of em was a young guy; skinny, but pretty strong. The other was older... maybe mid 30s to 40, thin, and strong as an ox. ..no fat, so far as I could see. I lost weight too.

Did that when I was in my mid-20's (about 105 lbs. ago). More money in sitting on your ass in front of a computer. :D That is partially what I owe my present svelte profile to. The rest is "fork curls". Oh well...

LOL

I worked for a mover the summer between high school and college.

There was quite a few old guys around there that could put the young guys to shame when it came to fitness.

Well, my training partner is 10 yrs. younger than I am, and I regularly run him under my tires when it comes to the lifting (he especially liked the 5 supersets of 250# leg extensions with 1000# leg presses, 15 reps each :D ). He can, however, do more cardio than I can. Once again, damn kids:rolleyes: !
