Yes, it's a living nightmare.
Once you try it, you won't go back to the life without it. No matter if you build it yourself or buy the bloody (watery) system, it's just too addictive.

Sorry.:D

Watercooling is slick and efficient. It is extremely sexy as well ... if done right. It also causes you to see the massive difference in 1-2C and will cause you to stay up nights wondering how to shave more Cs off of your system.

Definitely not for the fainthearted.

So, is water cooling worth the dosh????
and what set up would you recommend??
does it have to very expensive to be good???
am i right in thinking that water and electrics are not a good combination???

Water and electronics are NOT a good mix. A well constructed watercooling apparatus, however, will be almost completely leak-proof, and will do much better than any air cooling system will ever do.

I'm running one massive watercooling system on three computers in parallel right now, and a good sized proportion of people here use either watercooling or some other exotic cooling solution.

I would do months of research before considering it, and I would earmark about $300 before jumping into it. You really need to know what you're doing, what parts do better than others and why, and what to expect before you take a step like that. I'd start by getting comfortable with overclocking and then wait at least a few months of heavy research before jumping in. Our FS/FT forum is loaded with people trying to dump watercooling gear because they got in over their head without doing proper research. Don't fall into that trap.

this is why im asking about it..
i feel water cooling is not for the extreme or anything like that, its just well over my head!! but the main problem with air cooling is noise, the amount of fans you need and the limited amount that you can actually do with it.
its like most things, theres always something better around the corner should you want to pay that little bit more, fortuneulty im one of those people how think that air is suffient for what i do, even tho its not the best.
i dont think that the girl friend would feel very safe around it anyway, plus i wouldnt feel safe putting it together either..
i have only very limited knowledge of computers, compared to most of the people that post here, i wouldnt want to seem a big head, because i only really know small things about big things.. if you catch what im saying..
