All these cool blocks are out now that my system is done!

i have had so many overhauls to my box, im not even investing in the hardware, just the case and water cooling!! oh well, looks like it time to just sell it all and start from scratch again, only way to REALLY move foward. this maze-3 looks pretty damn nice. |
now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time I ever finished something and used it for more than a month without changing it all over again...... That's terrible!
:P |
These look amazing. I really can't wait to see some hard numbers for them.
You know, as a newbie to the whole watercooled scene, I've noticed that their are a few companies that generally produce waterblocks that look really professional and slick but seem to fair very poorly in actual performance tests. On the other side of the equation, the blocks that seem to always perform amazingly have always looked a little plain to me. With the performance history of the maze waterblocks and this new design; it would appear that observation may no longer hold true. A slick looking block that performs well? You know I'll be buying a pair of these. Now my only dillema is whether to dye my water. I had planned to do the cool glowing water thing, but I'm not sure I'd want to cover up the pretty design in the channel. :p |
interesting... i want to see some #'s from someone i know i can trust to do a good test.

that would be joe ! but hes a busy busy man
|
the spiral looks good, and cools really well too, but most other blocks designed for looks suck quite badly performance wise.
|
I emailed DD to inquire about pre-orders and they say that we can order early next week. I hope these perform half as good as it looks!
|
ok, so I think that my block looks great, so that means it must preform like...... SNIFF SNIFF

I've not heard any complaints about the spir@l from the ppls that have one. But the spir@l 2's looking like it's gonna have some tough competition. |

Yep, the Maze3 looks killer,i would like to run one for sure,i think it will do quite well~
And i am still waiting for those original spirals to become available,i mean the ones made by fixittt,-before everyone ports over to the new spiral design for their waterblocks,id like to get an original work of art from the creator! |
The only thing I do not quite understand about the Maze 3 is the inlet position and the post there. I assume they wanted that post to be over the core of the cpu and raise the heat up it while the water on both sides cool it. But those channels are almost the same size as the inlet barb? Isn't that kinda inefficent. I would think that you would devide the barb ID size by half and make chanel width around that post that number so the flow on both side is more equel. Of course I am usually wrong about that stuff.:D
Non the less I e-mailed them my commments which where all good and they did reply. They are good with me. That milling job is just cool. I really hope it works good!!! |
I think the point of the centre post is to provide more surface area than normal just above the core. I'm not 100% sure how well it will work. at least with a plexi top it's easy to make our own
|
WTF!
when are they gonna put them up for sale!! they didnt go up friday, and its been more than "a couple days" from last thursday I WANT ONE NOW |

So when is this block supposed to be for sale. Or, when *was* it....lol

its on sale already btw

Great. Now I have to figure out what all I am going to cool in the new comp that I am building. Question..Are their different sizes of water blocks for different parts of the computer, or are they all the same size?
|
Vid card Nbridge and hard drive blocks are all diff sizes/mounting holes.
if u have room, a heater core is a gread radiator. |

are the chipset and cpu heatsinks on your board the same size? check out the articles of pro cooling, read over them shop around DangerDen.com an read the specs, and mounting procedures. you will learn all the basics this way |
oooohhhh...good idea..i'm at school, during my study hall i'll go to the library and put thos printers to use :)
|
you will be printing ALOT of stuff... just take the time reading on the computer =)
|
I like to have interesting stuff to read in some of my boring classes like Consumers ED. So I am going to just print out an article or two and read them during some of those boring classes.
