i got myself the 350GPH model (at the time, there was a special for free shipping on orders $45 or more, so...lol)
Dtek sells the 250GPH model in their 1/2" kits, so either of those pumps will be find depending on your setup. you'll have to get barbs for the pump (home depot or Lowes for like $1.60 each), and you'll need to seal the housing so it doesnt leak (Permatex water pump and thermostat housing RTV silicone, $2 at any auto-parts store). while youre at the hardware store, pick up some Teflon tape to seal the barbs to the housing (only use teflon tape, do not use a silicone sealer to seal the barbs). some ppl have also glued their impellers to the magnet on the shaft to reduce 'clatter' (i havent noticed this, so i left mine alone).

Well Im thinking aobut getting the 350.

Ill be running a Maze3, a GF3 D-Den block, Black Ice Pro (Blue  ), with all 1/2 hose.

My case is really small to enclose all the stuff, Im thinkin Im gonna mount the rad on the top.

This is kinda what my case looks like, except the support bar though the middle is moved up about 2 inches.

So I have some room under the HDD rack.

Opps :)

If you did not buy the heatercore yet I suggest saving about $20 on one at an autoparts store.

ECUPirate 05-22-2002 09:37 AM

yeah... save your $$$. just about any HC from auto shop will keep up w/ BI. The Ford Econoline van HC is big, and has two 5/8" fittings, which tygon/silicon 1/2" hose fit over.

the 350 would be perfect for that setup.

also, you may want to re-read this thread.... I have a big case, but the WC stuff is a pain to work around, so I moved everything into its own box. ...just read this. http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/sho...&threadid=3185

I already read your post ECU :) I was planing on having it seperate, but Im up for suggestions.

I already got the Black Ice Pro with 1/2 fittings.

It should sit on top of the case, if not, ill put it on the side :)

my dad has one of these for whatever reason, and it pumps 1290gph AT 15 FEET! THATS INSANE!, we used it lately to fill our pool and boost the waterflow into the pool, its pretty insane!, its got hose connectors like you use on a faucet and sprinklers and whatnots, its QUITE loud! VERY loud! especially for watercooling!!!

ksw 05-25-2002 02:33 AM

http://www.fishconnection.com/Rainbow%20Systems.html

If you want a lot of flow and quiet operation, this be it:)

ECUPirate 05-25-2002 06:08 PM

I hope everyone here has the good sense not to try to use one of these in a WC system....

87 watts?
1140 GPH, direct drive?

Give me a break. You try to cram that kind of flow down a 1/2" pipe, and either your pump will burn out or your system will leak everywhere. Either way, your water temps will be too high.
