Usually , just this part. Depends on what kind of damage the breaking cutter did to the workpiece.

This is a must-have program for guys like you ChrioN: http://www.cncsimulator.com/
The milling part is very good, well I only had it for like 1 hour - but it will cover your skills for sure (no offence)
I only tried G0 G1 G2/3 and the basic stuff, works fine :)

ChrioN 09-20-2002 02:34 AM

LOL! Cnc-simulator...well, thank you FARMER ;)

FARMER 09-20-2002 07:03 AM

lol?

LOL:confused:

You mean 1337 :D

Very easy to use, you can purchase a cam-addon (but who wants to PAY for software ??)

I still make a G2/G3 mistake now and then, its better in the simulator than in the machine !

Do you guys really think I can do precisionjobs on the green mill?
I need the final word...I have a feeling that its a bit of loose on the axis where the endmills are....hmm....even if it can't do 0.1mm jobs, is it a good machine for the bucks anyway?

Fixittt 09-20-2002 11:26 AM

That looks like a good sturdy mill. If the ways are a bit loose, I would check to see if it has any GIB adjustments. That will normally take out any play in the table. You can always convert it to a NC machine. And have the X and Y table on cnc and control the Z manually. You wil only be able to run single depth runs. But hey, U plundge the endmill into the desired depths and push go, then the machine takes over and stops when it is time to plundge again. Just a thought.

well, so i guess its like turning back a time a bit for you guys.
Ok. anyway here is another tip about sending heavy staff to europe for those living in Chicago area:

If you go to Polish part of the city (Belmont ave and Pulaski Ave) you will find one or two shipping places. They charge about 50-60 cents per pound which is pretty cheap if you compare to elsewhere.:hammer:
