Nice pic but the way It was displayed is hard to look at, even If It is reality.
So I changed It slightly for everyones viewing pleasure.:p

I agree with JD -
You people who are saying "15watts" and "low heat load" are living in the past.

GPUs put out a lot of heat now. 50-70 watts is more like it, for top end R3xx and NV3x.

if that is the case why are all the GPU blocks only come with 40watt peltiers?
one would think that they would come out with 80 or 172watt peltier blocks by now.

one certainly would.

The MCW50-T™ is a fully assembled liquid-cooled thermoelectric (Peltier) solution, specifically designed for high-end graphics processor. Operating temperature ranges from ambient to freezing levels, depending on the thermal load.

This unit is intended for advanced users and requires appropriate insulation to prevent the formation of condensation in sensitive areas of the graphics card. Whereas Swiftech provides gaskets, and specific installation instructions for such assembly, utilization of this device is at the sole risk of the user.

Major features:

* Extreme performance:
o 1/2" OD tubing for optimal flow rate
o 80 Watts built-in thermoelectric module
o Optimal cooling capacity: will dissipate 53 Watts continuous thermal load to ambient temperature. See performance chart here.
* Versatility:
o The dual retention mechanism provides compatibility with a wide range of graphics processors such as ATI® Radeon™ 9000 to 9700*, and NVidia® GForce™ and FX families of products.

* not compatible with VGA adapters featuring TV tuners

my friend is making WB for CPU and GPU. I've got his gpu block from first series and it's very good (details in topic about my WC). It's costs about 15$ with camozzi 12OD corner fittings (on proto). http://www.gdynia.mm.pl/~popixs/cfd/...i/image006.jpg

more details on http://www.copperfield.prv.pl/

forget it

Anyone who knows the heat dissipation of the GF4 ti4200?
I´ve done some googling, but can´t find the info.
I´m using a home made WB with dimpled baseplate, quite much like old Swiftech blocks, and the back of my video card feels pretty hot.
Maybe it´s just me being a sissy, but I think it gets painfully hot if I keep my finger at the card.
regards
Mikael S.

I've read on tecchannel.de that Gf4 ti4600 in 3d mark produces approximetli 40W, R9700 pro 55W and Fx5800 Ultra 75W.

IM probally gonna get a mc50-t it's gonna be good from what i've heard because of the pelt only like an 8 degree differnece inw ater temps too.

the_chad 11-24-2003 12:24 AM

Ive voted for jaron, im about to install an 2x Jaron ESKY one 90o(gpu) and one normal (chipset) as they were cheap ($66 Aussie each) and are all copper but downside is that its 3/8 :( i overcame this by making everything 3/8

:p

and just to note, the simple PixelIce GPU Block is enough to run an 80watt pelt off if anyone was interested.

Can u change the barbs to 1/2?

And aren't esky top mount and side mount?

Niemiec 11-30-2003 05:15 PM

what do you say about this block??
http://www.linuxpl.com/~popixs/tmp/gpu/radeon_top.jpg

more photos on:
http://forum.tweak.pl/viewtopic.php?t=52380

producers site is: http://overcooled.com/. Now there isn't prices for this block becouse it's brand new and Popixs (the producer) hasn't told me prices.
Rest prices are in (PLN) zlotys:
1 USD = 3.93 PLN
1 EUR = 4.71 PLN

RazielWard 11-30-2003 05:18 PM

Looking for parts

to morphling1
where did you get the thick clear plastic/laminate/whatever for the top? I'm going to make a few of my own blocks and I like that style of top. I realize that a top like that isn't conducive to extreme cooling and all. I just really want my case to look cool through my window
any help would be grrrrrreatly appreciated.

JokerCPoC 11-30-2003 05:18 PM

Nice block.

Blackeagle 01-09-2004 05:42 PM

Anyone looking for a GPU block now should give the new Silverprop Fusion blocks a good look.

TwinplexGPU block from snt-systems.com. Looks good, uses 3/8 tubing, and cools my GPU just as much as my old FusionHL block. Did I mention it looks good?

RedViper 06-20-2004 07:08 AM

Cooper Polarflo. :)

Anemone 06-27-2004 10:37 PM

MCW 50T but with a 172w 24v TEC

AngryAlpaca 06-28-2004 02:11 PM

This is an old thread you people. Yeah, I agree with the Fusion. I came in here to suggest it and then saw the date.

Sweet! It's invisible! Either that or you showed us a picture of the back of your VC!

retail ones will be clear not green i believe....

AngryAlpaca 06-30-2004 06:19 PM

I wonder how much that will cost... It's not going to be cheap I can say for sure... It is nice, though, and just what people have been wanting...

firtol88 07-09-2004 12:09 PM

    Nice now if they only made it with a brass or copper top.

msv 07-26-2004 03:44 AM

Eeeeh... It looks like a massive chunk of copper. Anyone seen any specs on weight?

regards
Mikael S.

Anemone 07-31-2004 10:25 AM

Prefer copper to the aluminum ones out there. I'm curious if it will actually cool the gpu well though. But as before, getting rid of aluminum from the equation would be good imo, just have to manage the weight issue.

After all this, did I err and it is made from alum? hmm sorry if so
