Sry to bump up this thread but had to comment on Jackal's rig, that guy has pretty much done something I'm looking forward to do as soon as I get all the parts gathered from here and there =)... and BTW Jackal, you've got mail...

(yes, this is my first post here, I'm more of a reading than posting type=)

Gareth 10-26-2003 11:26 AM

Driver7- Firstly, tidy that case up!

Why the hell did you bother buying ddr4000 and then running it at 215mhz?

ps - Ur hard drives are ‘diamondmax’ not ‘diamondback’

That’s all for now.

puts new meaning to the words..." Nothing to see here! Move along now!!" doesn't it :D

That's right.... no windows, no LED's..... nothing.... just a lot of silent dust gathering going on inside my black box.... MHWHAHAHAHHAHA :D

oh and no coppertops for fillercaps either heheheh :p

better?

I had quite a few people tell me my case was messy and discombobulated when I was trying so show off my new waterblock. So I spent the last 6 hours tidying. My room's messier and I'm sure I could have doni it in 1 hr. Man that took forever. Anyhow. Mu new waterblock looks much happier and cooler thanks to it's clean home.

K man. You tell me what it will run at on my system and I will run it at that.
thats all for now!

poMONKey 10-29-2003 02:51 PM

ghetto, but cool!

the rad is mounted on the case with thick alum straps i bent and screwed to the case for LAN party travel :) ( been to 2 so far, and all is tight! ).

after some wire cleanup ( and IHS removal ), she'll be pretty much done... didnt wanna stuff the rad and pump in a box, just leave them out on the cool floor.

wires... where?

http://www.ebrooke.com/pomonkey/finished4.jpg
the black thing on the front is a temp filter. cleaning day in the basement means extra dust

Sc0rian 10-30-2003 04:45 AM

Nice poMONKey. Are you going to settle the pump a home in your case?

poMONKey 10-30-2003 07:43 AM

thanx and nah... i wanna keep it outside. sacrifice a little aesthetic for cooler temps :D

Ghost 10-30-2003 07:58 AM

Here's my WC setup. It's built for silence, not maximum OC.

Silent computing from Sweden:
http://www.transit.se/~carlerk/img/wcoct.jpg

Pump mounting frame with dual layer mechanical insulation. This very effectively removes esentially all vibration from the pump.
http://www.transit.se/~carlerk/img/pumpframe.jpg

CPU water block:
http://www.transit.se/~carlerk/img/cf.jpg

System as seen from the other side, with airflow description:
http://www.transit.se/~carlerk/img/PC-71_11en.jpg

HDD mounting frame:
http://www.transit.se/~carlerk/img/hdd2.jpg

Radiator/fan unit. The HDD frame sits directly underneath so that air drawn into the radiator passes the HDD first.

Nice work, Ghost!
I see You had troubles with tube kinks from CPU to northbridge ;-)
Zip locks rule!

Yep. The zip locks helps some. Unforunately, reinforced silicone tubing doesn't seem to exist.

Boli 10-30-2003 09:42 AM

I've got them on mine and they work damn well to stop kinks allows you to do tighter, and thus neater loops. Don't know how I lived without them before.
