(boy do i regret that) gf owns a 1999 peugeot 306 diesel does 1100km / 55liters, eat that. this bike however is the most economic form of transportation, fully renewable fuel cells, the works... those who wonder what the scenery is? this is where i spent part of my 3 week absence at the boards. place is called 'province des hautes alpes' about 30 clicks from the 'col du galibier'. this particular dirttrack is an old military road going from 800m sealevel to 2650m (col du parpaillon). http://users.skynet.be/donsole/living%20064.jpg |

Got a KingDragon air filter to help the car to breathe a little easier, and that's it for now. Still satisfied with the feeling of the power under my butt. Wife and I consider moving to bigger appartment, so modding the car will wait a little bit...:) Still don't have a pic, but working on it;) Cheers! g.l.amour: great scenery on that pic! Only thing I would miss is the sea and scuba diving. And considering that if anybody put me on a bicycle I would probably cough my lungs out, it's better to have a big bottle of air on the back:p |
A 2001 Saturn SL2 1.9L overbored and sleeved at 2.0L, JE pistons, 11:1 comp, new cams, headers, exhaust, ECU, Quaife Diff, SPEC 2 Clutch, blah, blah, blah... In short ~200HP + a 13ish PSI turbo on the way soon.
1977 Oldsmobile 98 6.6L (403 CI), 850CFM 4-barrel, headers, TH400 tranny, 12-Bolt Posi, the biggest damn hood you've ever seen, and the lovely (original) baby blue paint job |

i'm currently just starting reassembly on my '73 911T restoration (with an '87 3.4L RUF Carrera motor). it used to look like this:
http://www.strongshock.com/files/car...20@%20Reno.jpg it currently looks like this, lol (at least the chassis, most of parts are in the garage out of view in that pic): http://www.strongshock.com/files/car...rust-T0217.jpg unfortunately 3 years on Michigan's salty roads brought shameful amounts of rust. now i have a phobia of rust (seeking therapy:)). anyways, if you aren't afraid to see rust, here's the link with pics of what's done so far: link to my 911 restore i'll be adding more as i progress, and there's more info on the car elsewhere on my site if you're bored (link in my sig). |
wow, i think i've got the oldest pos out of anyone here....
1968 International Harvester 1100 Pickup, top speed's around 60, but you could drag a schoolbus full of children on its side down the freeway at around 60. can you say gallons to the mile ? you dont even want to know how much i spend on gas :-\ |

01 Ford F350 4x4 4" lift V10
She's plain Jane, a bitch to park and gets a whopping 9 MPG. But its a blast to drive around. If you look to the left in the background, the 79 red Ford stake bed is what I drove before I got this. :p Quite a jump :) http://www.artiestowing.com/TN-BOINC/MyTruck2.jpg |
Thats a small truck:D
|
Got me an S-10 4 banger. It runs fine, a little dented(d@mn stop signs, gotta avoid 'em) and it's good for sleeping in(6-12' bed) if you're like me and too cheap to sleep in a motel when the weather's fine.

That TVR is beautiful.
Nice truck Farley, I'm about straight east from you on the other side of Indiana. My brother used to go to Devry, lived up your way. Here's my daily driver- http://grimmmotorsports.net/Trkpsgr.jpg My Saturday night ride :D - http://grimmmotorsports.net/IMG_0404.JPG http://grimmmotorsports.net/IMG_0409.JPG |
Sweet!!! 2003? 2004? New body style.. Now ya just need a lift kit. :evilaugh:
Cops don't give ya a hard time in with that Saturday noght ride do they? lol.. :D |
It's an '02. I'll get a Fabtech lift when the warranty's gone. I just put on some 285 Swamper SSR Radials (MAX that would fit stock, 33.9" tires) and some Rancho adjustable shocks.
http://grimmmotorsports.net/Trk1.jpg Also put in a 100 HP chip and a KFE Stage 2 air intake for the Duramax. It flies even for a gas trcuk it'd be fast. Will turn over the Swampers :D Quote:
It's a circle track car. I run tracks like Kalamazoo or Berlin. |
Yes Sarcastically. ;) Boss here run Kalamazoo Midwest series. Crash fest if you ask me. Leave the car on the track if it stalls?? Clogs my shop up with race cars :p
My truck I put Skyjacker lift on. Seemed resonable and came compleat. :) I got 285s on mine too, gonna go bigger when they wear out. |
Who's your Boss Farley? I know who most of the guys up there. In the Super Lates anyway. Or do you mean the Winston Mid-west series? lot of Winston sanctioned tracks between MI and WI.
I liked the Fabtech stuff 'cause it looks a lot like the Finish Line Fabricating parts on my car. Looks well engineered, watched a special on Fabtech during an off-road race one night. |
Dats cool. Speciale, #50 I think it must be the Winston Mid-west series, his car is a Monte Carlo not a super late. They race 4 times a year...
:) |

Now thats a good lookin' truck. I just bought a truck myself. Well not so much of a truck really, more like a hot rod with a truck bed. I just got a '99 F150 Lightning about a month ago. It had 49k miles when I bought it, but it has 52k on it now. Man is this thing fun. |
Thanks Too Hot..
I hear the lightings are pretty slick. 3000 miles in a month. whoa! time to get the oil changed already... |
I got:
2002 Subaru WRX - no mods. 2000 Passat 4Mo Variant - no mods. 1997 Ford E-350 Super Club Wagon 15 passenger van - umm..no mods. 1995 Subaru Impreza Production Class Rally Car - Roll over mod. oops. |
|
Nice super 7 clone! That is one slick car man! I always wanted to build one of those.

Thanks dude. The PPE (as it's known) is my pride and joy. Despite being road legal it's pretty much a pure race car now. There is info about it here and also the short-lived Snotmobile (the other Westie we had). They are definately the most fun you can have in a car with your clothes on and I think anyone with petrol in their veins should own one at least once. There really is nothing like it and normal cars will never seem the same.
Also on the site there is some old info about the computers. The site is due for an update with all the stuff I've been doing watercooling wise on the PC and Mac and some progress with the PPE also. Hopefully I'll get around to this in the next week or so. |

Daily driver: Mk1 Escort (1300cc) (currently woring on upgrading suspension/engine and interior stuff) Project : Mini 1000 (been working on this car since i was 13. Junked the original body shell and found a doner for a new one. The Spec list is very long :p ) Racer: Radical 1100 clubsport (my dad raced this for a couple of years but we cant afford to stump up £6000+ a year atm so its sitting in the garage) Kart: Wright Suzuka (1999)/TKM BT82 (i used to race this in the british campionships and club meetings but quit when i was 16 in the hope of finding a proper car to race but still looking :( ) I have a few more escorts and minis but they are all crappy atm. |
Nice selection. Have to admit that when I get to the stage that it's the Westie holding me up on track rather than the driver, I'll be looking into something like an old Prosport with the full aero package. Would love an SR4 but the money is just daft. I have more than a passing need for a Mexico as well...
Just read your Liquified link also. *bows* very impressive work! |
Slater_Speed, is it just a rumor, or can the Radical be legally driven on public roads? As an every day car?
Pleeeeease, tell me it´s true. If it´s OK in any country in EU, it´s OK all over EU. (wiping saliva from chin) Juansolo, I envy You for Your 7 soooo badly. Pity www.caterham.co.uk has removed all sound files (their web servers couldn´t handle the load). regards Mikael S. Edit: sorry, fixed that link |
Here's mine.... Still a work in progress, as I'm sure everyone knows..... :D

Thanks juansolo:D
msv - Well yes 'some' radicals are road legal. The newest models (SR4 etc.) have a 'road legal' option avalible and the older models can be converted by fitting the optional lights and road tires. Thing is they are totaly impractical for road use as the ride high is soo low (we cant even get our car back in the garage without ramps as the floor is about 1.5inches higher than the driveway!) The road legal cars have the ride hight jacked up to the max which totaly ruins the look and handeling of the thing. But yeh its quite fun at traffic lights just dont try and go over a bump! :D Ps. droooling @ Rotor |
