You're right about that, just a small amount off the gained power will stay.

I can only speak for myself, some of my power will stay on DF. I did do some installs on some clients that before DF crunched S@H units. The S@H clients did take to much off processor time and would release timly. This affected the performance , aspecialy on list large network dirs.

But don't be affraid, the clients I talk about would do more then a mil. a day

Also some power which was gained through our website posting for the stampede probably will stay, a lot of NON-DC people started crunching DF units since the 14th

All that I can say is that this stampede is a "little" succes :)

And every structure or Generation processed counts :)

Home again. All my cruchers are still crunching hapily. All in WinME to boot. I decided to leave my water cooling rig on and turned of net access. :D So check the stats in a few hours for a little dump.

Done the same, but for a diferent reason.

I decided to bench my dual Amd system to check its speed on foldtrajlite.
My score was something like 53 - 10.
They are running at 2241 MHZ.

Done the same to my NF7-S + 2500+@2300 MHZ + 1024 Ram server.
It did 34 - 6.

And i thought: "UAU! the chipset counts alot for foldtrajlite!"
But got suspicious.

So i putted both my dual system and my server to not upload their stats for some time.

Yesterday i had on my Dual system:
-44 to upload on first cpu;
-52 to upload on second cpu.
And on my server:
-50 to upload.

What does this mean? It means the bench of foldtrajlite SUCKS to know wich CPU is faster. In this case, My dual system should be about 25% faster only, but its almoust 100%.

So, i find my benches on a HT P4 useless, i will have to test it for real to check if it does NOT loose from running 2 at the same time.

Will also ignore the bench provided not long ago about the A64.

Try to turn upload off on your computers for 72 hours and say here how much stats they are storing, so that a guy REALLY knows wich CPU is faster.

Another recruitment did his job :)

Almost doubled our active users .... we'll see what this will bring us :)

Hey guys...question for you.

On my mother's PC I installed the folding program as a system service. According to the program's documentation, when the program is running as a service you have to examine the file "progress.txt" to see how the program is doing. So I did just this on my mother's PC. Here are the contents of that file...

Building structure 31 generation 16
69 until next generation
1 generations buffered
Best Energy so far: 4.752

Now here's my question. Is "Best Energy so far" the same as "Best RMS" ?

I ask because while looking at the "global stats" page I noticed that a member of the ProCooling team, cabmesister, has the "Best RMS" of 8.63. If "Best Energy" is the same as "Best RMS" then I would get the new #1 spot :D

Yeah.. that's probably true, which makes me think we should post our own; how about "Procooling DPC Radiator Flush", or "Prococooling DPC Deep Freeze" campaign, or something to that effect :) pretty sure there are people here with far better inventivness than I for marketing slogans.

BTW (off topic) this new virus "MyDoom" must be some real heavy stuff, I am receiving 50 - 70 emails per day with the thing in it.!!

Boli 01-30-2004 07:29 PM

oh come on its easy

Procooling - putting the cows on ice!
Procooling - freezing the cows
frozen beef anyone?

:D

And I finally have to give up my title of "the person who has stopped imagax's in his tracks the most" to someone else... I can no longer hold back the madman. And why is it when every I'm threatened in the table my main folding computer goes offline, and refuses to work properly.

Prob. Karma

No, they are different.

Thanks Boli, you put up a good fight. hey at least were on the same team ;)

jaydee 01-31-2004 11:56 AM

Damn Cows. We need to have a large BBQ! Maybe we should try and recruit other teams. Is it possible for another team to become a subteam on our team? Bah...

clone 01-31-2004 12:01 PM

my 3.8 has been down for 2 weeks bad nic :(

imagex 01-31-2004 12:36 PM

I've seen were people have changed teams and carried there points over with them.

Yeah the points stay with you if you change teams. I don't want people to change teams though. I would rather they stay with the team they joined as they had a reason to join that team. I would like to see if those teams can join another team as a sub-team or something. Or we can figure out how to get more members on this team!

Keep crunching. You don't need net access to crunch. As long as you upload before they change proteins your good. I just went from the 19th to the 28th onm one comp with no net access. In fact I am finding it faster without auto uploading. It stops the client everytime it uploads I think.

Bring some Brunnete to fold, and maybe someone will join after ;)

I'm allways in for a BBQ, but I will only have " NON-crunching Cow " or any other meat :)

Even 100 mil a day looks like a piece of cake these days :evilaugh:

You guys are going to cause a power shortage in Dutch land! :D

Boli 01-31-2004 09:29 PM

Hmmmm idea. :D

*News flash: Power outage in Amsterdamn :D*

jaydee 01-31-2004 10:37 PM

Joe turn his farm off or did it break?

iggiebee 02-01-2004 04:13 PM

Anyone know where darkhorse is? if I remember correctly, he has some 20,000 machines at his disposal that could easily put a stop to all this Dutch Power Cows gloating in a day or so.

jaydee 02-01-2004 09:58 PM

Not sure whats up with darkhorse.

What happened to Joe's farm?

What's up with Groth? You better be sand bagging or I will conquer you! :evilaugh:

satanicoo 02-01-2004 10:20 PM

Maybe they're doing just that, "sand bagging", and when they upload we get to #1

jaydee 02-01-2004 10:26 PM

Heh, at the pace the hamberger express is going #1 will not be an option. :D I still don't understand how they rallied that many people. Is that the only Dutch website there is or something? :D
