Bachelor in Microwave. I have to say I am impressed by the young age of the staff here! As we say in my birth country, le talent n'attend pas le nombre des annees (talent does not count in years). Very cool. |
Qui d'autre est assez fou pour s'aventurer dans tout cela?
(Whoelse is crazy enough to get into this?):D |
oops ... yea, that was badly stated of me.
great to see people from all ages and professions (and places). |
I think i am probably the youngest. I am 15 (soon 16) and I have been into overclocking and computers since I was 13 or so. I am working on my biggest project yet, a totally new water cooled system with a wooden bong :). I posted info on the bong in the evap cooling room.
|
Hmm ... the WoodyBong. Sounds like something you would find inside of a XXX shop. How do you plan on keeping it from leaking, rotting, and swelling?

20 years old (acting 10, thinking 30) Been into computers ever since my gran bought me a BBC Gamestation when i was little, my parents got it out for me to play with some sundays untill it just disapeared. A while later my parents found a old Apricot in a car park at a local supermarket and bought it home for me to play with. i programed a few games onto it from a book and when the stopped working i opened it (With a *hacksaw*) and fixed it. been hooked ever since.
Been into watercooling for about 4 years, bought a kit 2 years ago for my first proper setup that didnt include a bathroom tap and 20m of garden hose, been making decent setups for myself and to sell for about 18 months :) |
23, just finishing off my master's in Aero Engineering and looking for a job. Turned up here after following Gooserider in from SPCR since I've decided to watercool next time. In the meantime, the thermodynamics/fluid dynamics being used here is occasionally pretty interesting.

34 years since februari.
A friend has a 10 year old son who is more mature than I, poor bugger. Well, it´s really not difficult to be more mature than I. regards Mikael S. |
20 here. My first exposure to computers was a lab full of Apple IIe's at my elementary school. Anyone remember the robotic drawing turtle thing? :D
My folks bought a Zeos 386sx around 1990 that I eventually learned QBasic on. My current computer has been around for a few years in various states, and it's been watercooled for a month or so now. I spent a year and a half at NDSU studying mechanical engineering, but now I have moved on to computer related studies centered around web development. Quote:

I'm a 41 year old grandpa, husband of 18 years and watercooling hobbyist for 3 + years. I made and use my own waterblocks ....but its been awhile since the copper chips have flew in my workshop.
I work for a large California government contractor that is currently building a pier on a pacific island for the USN. Luckily, I stay busy in Los Angeles expediting supplys and equipment onto a material barge that keeps the project running with the needed raw materials to keep on building. My expertise is usually operating heavy equipment , cranes and truckdriving....but its nice to operate an office chair now. Not as sore at the end of the day. |
I'm 19 years old, still in school, I am in the process of building a custom computer around the idea of water cooling. Sadly my WC system is all off the shelf, but I plan on making a custom WB.
