Today's question is: after the curve shows up (in a reasonable amount of time I hope), can you move it around inside its box? How smoothly? Again, if it's slow or jerky let me know what you're running.

I was hoping it was just my whopping 450Mhz K6-2 that was making Moz/Firefox sluggish. I'm beginning to have doubts about the pan-and-zoom concept--with two or more generated lines there's the potential for serious slowdowns. Other Firefox folks, how fast is your computer and is the movement annoyingly jerky? |

IE6 is a little smoother but I still get tolerable results in FF 0.9.1 P-M 1.7, 1GB RAM, 128mb ATI gfx notebook (MY quiet and SFF computing solution) |
I've started laying stuff out and have inserted a few functions. The exciting 'create your own system' thing doesn't work yet and the page contains no useful information. But, this will let you see where I'm heading at the moment.

THis looks surprisingly like a "pH get off your ass, quit playing Doom3, and generate tons of head loss vs. flow curves" moment to me.
This is going to get messy quickly. I am thinking that I will be forced to test some radiators before too long too... shit //edits: this will be another good reason to test some complete kits; we can have some real configurations with final flow rates known and see how close the model gets us |

It now has the pressure drop from tubing installed and the graphs are, well...graphic.
Next step is to get two waterblocks and a rad active, then add a big Iwaki. |

Always more data needed (and options for things like fittings), but the prototype can now make a system flow prediction. |

I had wondered why I hadn't heard anything back, but wasn't concerned enough to speak up.
Was it a big e-mail? Sometime they just drop big stuff. And that's my most reliable e-address. Edit-another thought: they are over-eager with killing anything that may be a virus. xls in zip might get through better. |
