What's that white thing on top? Is that your res?

pdf27 06-25-2005 04:51 AM

Looks like an Aqua-Computer res with a white light inside it (you can get fittings for various lights inside the res).

nexxo 06-25-2005 10:40 AM

It is. I modified it (considerably) to work with larger diameter tubing:

The black thing is an industrial flow sensor.

thade2001: very clean install

have you considered rotating the NB block 90 degrees?
i bet you just might have clearance for a 2nd vid

thade2001 06-28-2005 09:16 PM

The Twinplex is too thick. I think that doesn't work. There's a spezial DFI nF4 Cooler on the Market, but it is so expensive. 40€

But normaly i don't use a 2nd vid :)

Sehr gut! Clean layout, and it looks very quiet.

Too bad you had to make such a tight bend on the short connection between the HD waterblock and the pump inlet. That's got to hurt your flow rates. But, if you don't OC (which you probably don't!), then I bet it cools just fine.

thade2001 08-18-2005 05:01 PM

THX

yes it is not the best way betwen the HDD and the Aquastream. But i have a LOW Flow System and i think my FlowRates are ok.

I can overclock my P-M @ 2,8Ghz@1,45. But this is the maximum of the CPU.

And BTW i use WaterWetter. This addictive is very nice.

And sry for my bad English

here's a pic of my radiator and fans.

No blocks mounted yet, testing with dd maze 4 cpu and dd maze 4 nb.
20 metres of 19mm poly pipe, via aqua 4900 pump that is strugling with maybe 10 Lpm atm. Wanting to use my Storm with it, but fear flow will be under 3-4lpm.

Still under construction is a control box to monitor inside and out temps, inside humidity and flow rate to control fans, with the aim of keeping water temps above my inside dew point.

Also planning on a proper shroud/exit ducting over the radiator, and some vibration isolation. Noise is a problem atm in the room above the fan (my bedroom) a low freq rumble.

Whole point of this is to achieve a dead silent system, I want to hear the clock tick and not 5 screaming fans. Next task is to silence five 15k rpm scsi drives (water cooled of course). Next on the shopping list is a Antec phantom 500.

since pic I've got the radiator on its side now so it is below the water level of the bucket, and now with a pump and loop just for the radiator, get much higher flow for the whole system and a lot easier to bleed.
a cut down 19" industrial rack, now on wheels and with mdf side panels.
fans and pumps are controlled via rs232 from controller at my desk, controller has 3 solid state relays, all controlled via a pic. temp sensors sending back data via rs232 too.
old race car ecu hand controller, soon to have the lcd up and working again, reporting water temps, ambients in case and at radiator, flow rate, and internal case humidity.
