Thanks, Bill!
The thing looks a lot better with some data in it. The inferface: it kinda sucks. It will be increasingly unwieldy as more blocks and rads (and eventually GPU blocks, fittings, etc) get added. Any ideas? It needs to stay narrow to fit in ProCooling's article format, but beyond that all suggestions are welcome. |
I would suggest using a pulldown menu for each of the components, and a textbox where users can enter the number of feet of tubing. Should become much more compact then

Also it seems the Tick Labels are messed up for GPM x axis...

I have a LARGE amount of system test data: for each system @25°C fan inlet temp I have the flow rate, coolant temp @ wb inlet, and die temp - I can ck the calculator you need to address reservoirs and the infamous Swiftech fill & bleed kit as both of these add a resistance I'll dig up some flow data on these |
That's a weird thing with Moz/FF that I haven't figured out yet: it has loaded the new axis scale gif, but hasn't redrawn the screen. If you minimize the window or move another window over that area for even a moment, it re-draws with the correct gif. Don't know if it's something I'm doing or an actual gecko-engine bug.
Pull down select boxes! I have this idea now where you build a system: select a component family, select the specific item to add, repeat. The idea being flexibility, you can have two blocks or eight radiators or whatever. The question is, is it technically feasible, and can I do it. Coolness, Bill. I likes information. Fittings, reservoirs, fill-n-bleed, chipset/GPU blocks, and so on....And then there's the fun of parallel branches. This ain't gonna be finished in a day. |
