This THREAD have been dead since 2003 but ill add this much how many crack heads started by drinking beer first and smoking cigarrarets . and also i well add this much too i dont exactly remenber the first time i smoke pot . "early 70s" But i sure as hell well never forget how sick and vomiting was my first cigarret was. .......and still is.

Look at ti this way. Weed can't make you do anything. It wont make you a loser if you smoke it, or vice versa. IMO, it's like money. Whatever you are, it will make you that more so.

For example, if you are an asshole by nature, it wont matter if you're poor or rich, you will still be an ass hole. Just if your rich, you will probably be a bigger asshole than you would have been otherwise.

Weed is similar. If you are a lazy good-for-nothing, you will be a lazy good-for-nothing weather you smoke or not. Just, if you do smoke, you will be more lazy and good for even less.

However, the same holds true if you are a hard worker and smart. If you are a hard worker, and are on track, smoking a little reefer here and there will not hurt you at all. If anything, it will make you better.

However, the only person that is qualified to say if you are a lazy bastard or a hard worker is you. It is not the governments job to protect you from dumb ass decisions. If you feel that weed is for you, then you should be free to make that choice. It is the government's job to provide you with the facts, and let you make the decision. By making weed illigal, the government can't possibly provide the people with honest facts, thus by keeping weed illigal, it is derilecting its duty to the people.







On a side note, since we are talking about legalization, I just found out that Russia has recently decriminalized posession of pretty much every soft drug up to 10 doses (anthing over 10 doses, and your still a bad guy). This is pretty cool, because up to now, Russia had some of the most draconian drug laws on the books.

I figured I'd add something to this thread. I knew a guy who went to UNC Chapel Hill on a full ride (he played golf). For extra cash he started selling dope and printing counterfeit cash. When he was under investigation for counterfeiting he consented to a search of his car... which was where he was hiding his stash of dope. Guess he was using too much of his own product.

well, he did 2 dumb things. He counterfitted cash and he consented to a search.

Maybe a waste of humor resources but we don't need "aluminum rulez" in dozens of threads. Way to much moderation needed to let people like that loose on forums.

Should be available in refined form (smoking anything is bad, m'kay?) for medicinal purposes on prescription. Medical benefits are proved but the same is true for red wine in moderation. I don't want someone who's had half a bottle of claret driving or who's had a couple of pills of THC.

people who smoke enough marijuana to be medically effective eventually build up a tolerance such that the psychoactive effects are negligible, while the medicinal properties remain effective.


Although I agree completely that driving under the influence of THC is wrong. I think the best way to deal with it is the same way that drunk driving is dealt with. Make marijuana legal, but driving under the influence illegal, and punishable with very stiff penalties.

I am not an advocate of making it legal. However I find making cigarettes legal far worst than making pot illegal. More deaths and other health problems caused by cigarettes than just about all other drugs on the planet combined yet little has been done about it.

Alcohol kills more people than all drugs combined as well.

See the main problem with alcohol is that it impairs you AND motivates you to go out and do things. When I'm high, you'd be lucky just to get me out of my bed, much less behind the wheel of a car. Drunkards are and will always be far more dangerous to the public than potheads.
