probably not, Swiftech sells several of the HW Labs rads and since they publish 'specs' I've not published mine to avoid contradiction; I will consider

"Miracle Midget Wonder", lol - ask JoeK about this product (it started me into component testing)

the MCR120 is the latest version of the BI Pro

Thx for the clarification - was not too familiar with the HW Labs product range
Their published 'specs' do seem a little useless ahem spartan...

For the anecdote, my foray into watercooling started from reading the early component tests at overclockers.com :dome:

article 481 is quite near and dear to me too lol. Some inaccuracies in the graphs but was immensely important to my understanding of how testing should be done.

Well this thread has some of the best info in one place that I have seen in a long time, but it is also the most off topic thread known to man...

pH, would you mind taking some of these posts and trasnplanting them into some stickies.. I think lolitos info deserves to bee seen by anyone who might venture into these forums..

What do u say?

My version of Full System Performance :-

http://www.jr001b4751.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/System.jpg

Correction(?) for "temperature drop across radiator applied" (dT= W(wb+pump)/(69.5466x flow(lpm)) ).
Much data collected by inspection of graphs,so should contain massive error bars.
Failed to glean a data point for Storm G5's P/Q curve so not included

Edit1: Added MCP350 plus Excel file.
Edit2: Corrected error in White Water P/Q curve : Excel updated.

Quaint how the G4 reacts with the 1250 ...?
(effect is not so pronounced on Cathars graph)

Would be interesting to compare your results :dome:

Hope I have attached a file with the plotted numbers.

Edit: Plus eyeballed Cathar

lolito_fr 11-25-2004 12:08 PM

eek! Would have expected your dTs to be higher(??) than Cathars because of the extra term
dT= W(wb+pump)/(69.5466x flow(lpm))
a bit confused

Les 11-25-2004 12:11 PM

Mine should be lower:
temperature DROP across radiator=W(wb+pump)/(69.5466x flow(lpm))

lolito_fr 11-25-2004 01:49 PM

So the temperature DROP is proportional to the HEAT input...
yikes, lol!

At equilibrium, Heat(input)=Heat[output)

Have attached a break-down of the "dTcpu-air(in)" s :- dTcpu-water, dT(Rad water(in)-air(in)) and dT(Rad water(in)-water(out)) .
Flow-rates(taken from P/Q curve intercepts) ,Rad C/Ws, and pump-heats(Cathar's) are shown.

Edit1: Corrected one error in Excel
Edit2: Corrected White Water P/Q intercepts.

lolito_fr 11-26-2004 03:17 AM

Heat(input)=Heat[output)
Yes I realised that, but it took me a while - and I'm still struggling somewhat. (think it's mainly the LMTD causing the difficulty)
