LN2 cooling... you know who you are...
You guys w/ LN2 cooled under your names... is that for real? Any pics?
|
I think it's a forum rank based on the number of posts:)
|
yeah it's just a title
|
yep, just a tilte. never used the stuff!!!
|
mmm.... liquid nitrogen....
|
Ah... so whether it states air, water, etc.. doesn't have anything to do w/ the actual cooling setup of the member...
Had me fooled, because my title sure fits my setup.... :D |
Hahahahaha
Yeh It goes: Hot Stank, Air Cooled, Water Cooled, Pelt Cooled, and then LN2 Cooled.. there may be something between pelt and LN2 I dunno. I forgot :) |
So am I like... king of the Stanks??? Super-stank.. If you will?
|
Ok Just changed it:
Hot Stank Air Cooled Water Cooled Pelt Chilled Freon Cooled Liquid Nitrogen Cooled Liquid Helium Frozen |

|
hehe, I'm sure I won't hit 1000 anytime soon.
--Matt although I think I had like 1600 something posts on mad onion's forum tho. heh |

hehe yeah, thats what I'm thinking too, just run a big external rad, it'd be great
|
heh, I actually tried that. got my duron 750 to 1100.
Abit KT7A, FOP32-1 w/a sunon low RPM fan the problems I ran into was it started to frost up (the case) and it was hard to type with gloves on. ph yeah, the monitor glass kept fogging up. My wife laughed when she saw me out there with the squeege. |
lol no no no just put the radiator outside....then run the lines inside and put some insulation on them when u get inside
|
Ahhhh:)
Hmmmm, I'm on vacation this week, a few holes in the wall when the wife is at work...course I don't have H2O setup yet. But then again I got yelled at last night when I decided to run CAT5 to the garage. and I do have the radiator from my old 79Mustang(POS). I wonder if there is a covenent or restriction in my neighborhood about not havin' radiators attached to the outside of a house. |
yeah just drill two holes in the wall and run the rad outside. Being a full sized car rad you probably won't need a fan on it
|
my roommate has a little heatercore with no fans.
The temp here is in the 30's / 40's (Minnesota), and his processor stays at only a few degrees F over ambient. |
I looked it up, can't have "heating or cooling devices protruding on the outside of a house".
Also cannot "use your property to house livestock-excludes Llamas) I'll find away. think a full size car rad would be big enough for 2 comps? Would need a bigger pump |
Well there's an industrial gas supply place on the same block as my work and they have 4 HUGE tanks of LN2 out back. I was walking by one day when they were filling a dewar. The guy said he could hook me up with a little LN2 if I wanted, but I declined. I would deffiniatly get myself into trouble if I used LN2 cooling ;)
|
i'm going to be using a full sized car radiator for my dual athlon setup. just waiting for an overclockable board at this stage
|
stick a big heater core outside.
those tend to have better reviews... if I did that, my temps would go WAY up. it's not cold down here much. at a whopping (0.55 posts per day) it'll be six years b4 I see 1000 :-> |
