Hope D-tek dont get mad, but I must show this
Ok... Im a weasel.... but I have to show this............

a seksi block for sure!! thx fix hehe
must....have.....roundup......argh!!! lol |

But D-Tek doesnt have any good inventory, so I got the Maze3. And the maze3's inlet is over the CPU core! |
That is dead sexy (I would still get the copper top one though)
Hard to say about the relative performance of Maze3 vs. TC-4. I also like die area impingement (Swiftech's term?) but the TC-4's turbulators are designed to increase water velocity throughout the block and could potentially work very well. I don't have (at all) a feel for how the TC-4's pressure drop vs. flow rate curve would appear, but I look forward to seeing it whenever someone (BillA?) tests one out. |
I was expecting to see that sooner or later :)
Very pretty! |
OMG Fixittt :D
That looks f*cking sweet..... |
Ok, im gonna leak a bit of info, and will Deal with Danny, if he b!tches at me.
But he just got a few of those from the machine shop. The first of a arge batch. (50) I think. They are about done. And with talking to anny on the phone, He also says that he has torques the bolts down, to try and crack one of the tops..... but couldnt. Also, by looking at the pic, I can tell that the top is sitting flush with the base, no small gap between the 2. And cheack out the uniformed seal on that O-Ring. totally smashed all the way around the block. Sorry Danny, I just had to share with these fools!!! Edit: Also another thing I noticed, was that small facet on the tops edge. Its the same all the way down the block. that tells me that someone was really mathotical about de-burring the tops. man I just love professonal work! |
droooool...that looks like something you could put in your house as decoration!:)
|
I would like to see that in action. I can imagine some dyelite swirling through those channels:drool:
|
wow.
One question tho.. Are the "turbulators" simply laid in there? Or, are they attached in some creative way to the base? My homebrew waterblock mind is pondering the possibilities of such a simple addition. |
Not wanting to rain on the parade guys , BUT:
Just trying to pass on a little bit of help to a fellow Block maker. You WILL have problems with the caps unless you change to Button-capped screws. The problems come from the expansion differences, the caps need to "float" onto of the 'O'ring. This means the mounting holes must be oversized and the bolts not countersunk. I had our Neptune blocks in 3 designs stages for the last 5months (R&D) and I have seen some strange stuff happen. ( also be wary of radial loads on the Taper threads, customers have this habit of wanting to get the old spanner on them to tighten them up  ) Like the turbulators, though ;) |
Hi Fixittt! What is the recommended flow rate for these blocks? Other than the top, is this version different from the TC4 block with the Cu top?
|
Hey, I nned to say this. I am really not offiliated with D-tek.customs. I just like Danny alot, and have chessen him to resell the blocks I slowly make.
I just desided to leak this pic I think it needs to be appreciated. It is a beautiful peice of craftmanship. If nothing else, Its a professional work of art. not get over how good that machine shop in CALI. is with these things. I wish I could get one in my hands. Just to look at it. As far as the specs. I am sure Danny has gotten an email about the new blocks by now, I am just supprised I havent gotten one from im, bitching at me for posting the pic :) Hey, what are friends for? If anyone emails Danny, ask him about the can - of- whoop ass He got playing Gost recon. HEHEHEHAHAHAHHRRH |
So let me get this straight Fixittt. Along with the Spir@ls and the GeminCool blocks you are also making the TC-4s? Damn you must be a busy fellow!
|
and Dont forget the Front for the OCWC.
(I do make the Spir@ls though) When I can |
Oh I haven't forgotten (my eye's on you, buddy)
|
Like what U see? (Wiggles his hiney)
|
Ok... WHY.... why do you have to show me these things, the day AFTER I buy my Maze3 :p
Geez.... :p |
and what is the return ploicy for DD? LOL.....
Well, I thought that this group in particular would like to see it. As I beleive that we share a liking for the craft, and skill level that some people are putting into these. And what are they doing it or? the Consumer. Not the money, You cant get rich at doing this. |
Sorry Fixittt. I know it's silly to ask you this question:)
|
ok so I don't want to be an @$$ but I really have to buy a Spri@L blcok. I have almost finished my case that I've been wroking on for 6months (didn't have all the funds right away.) I really want to get it working, (can't stand the noise any longer) I don't want to have to buy a Maze3. I would even buy an ALU one. sup with that MASS production? :D
|
The CFD thread (lower on that forum) showed that an inlet *directly* over the core aint optimal. Reality confirmed that theory (german blocks).
This block is simply kickass. |
How do you know this block is kickass? Well, aestheticaly, it certainly kicks ass:)
|
all I can say for sure on the mass production of the Spir@ls, is that they have gone thrue some design mods. and are at the machine shop right now.
ETA... Still unknown. But they are being made. |
I will wait another couple of weeks then before deciding. Thanks for replying, I know you probably get asked all the time.

Creature. Does what help? I assume that you mean the inlet over the core. I think it helpsdo you to a certain degree, but my opinion of the maze3 with that large open volume, I dont think it really matters. I am sure there are arguments bothways. But the theory has opened up a new set of designing methods. I am sure that any preformance gains are slight.
|
Fixitt:
When are we going to get some specs. on that block and then when might it be available? That looks like the perfect block replacement in my system, IF it does better than say a Maze2 or even a Maze3. |
it looks nice, I'd like to see a roundup though, but then wouldn't we all?
|
and to leak more info... the block will be available in about two weeks, and will have a provision for mounting a Pelt.
I like the turbulators! I just wish that the inlet and outlet came out of the sides, instead of the top, as it would decrease the flow resistance, but then it wouldn't fit for a lot of people... here comes another mod! |
