UV lights for killing algae?
I have noticed that a few aquarium shops sell UV lights, which are supposed to kill bacteria and algae. Anyone experimented with one?

The short wave UV light needed to kill algae can be dangerous to human eyesight and can also cause some plastics to degrade rapidly. ALL UV light EPROM erasers (see link above) have safety cutoff switches that turn the light off.
