isn't that a 10MM ID kit?

BillA 08-02-2004 08:39 PM

hell, I don't know
I just read what the reviewer said
probably I'm in error, have to re-read (not)

This is a gem. from the 'reviewer':

While I'd liked to have tested it against the old block, I'll take Asetek's word for it that the new design allows for lower temperatures.

Ben has a reticulated eye, can't they have a calibrated ear ?

killernoodle 08-03-2004 12:24 AM

It is still a good looking kit though...

[10 mm or 1/2' - Europe]
[1/2' US]
Now wether that's ID or OD, the site just doesn't say.

BillA 08-03-2004 10:24 AM

eh ?
how does one equate those numbers
tubing is normally described by ID x OD

for example 6mm tubing is actually 6mm ID x 10mm OD (can also be had with 9mm OD however
- but how do either 6 or 10mm relate to 1/2" US ???

better info off the kit's site I suspect

bigben2k 08-03-2004 10:36 AM

That was from the kit's site... www.asetek.com

The product is available in both sizes. Again, not sure if ID or OD. Venturing a guess, I'd go with OD.

BillA 08-03-2004 10:50 AM

yea, bigger is better - no ?

I wonder how many thousands have been pissed over the ID - OD bit ?
I know we hear it all the time despite our best efforts to be clear

pHaestus 08-03-2004 10:56 AM

Historically though Swiftech was one of the companies that said "1/2" tubing" when they meant "1/2" OD tubing". Correct but confusing and not what the average Joe was thinking of when they looked for a "1/2" system"...

Your package with Hayden 676 and MCP650 and whatever else arrived today btw Bill. My son was crushed; he is expecting some Lego toy from ebay too

BillA 08-03-2004 11:36 AM

Gabe is the #1 culprit, it has been a long battle - ongoing

next time I'll put in something for your son, too

pHaestus 08-03-2004 11:38 AM
