MCW oxidization...
Anyone else's MCW oxidize on the outside as well? I haven't even put mine in, and it has turned brownish in color.
Is it possible to prevent this by giveing it a clear coat? Normally I wouldn't have to worry about this with other blocks, but since this block is entirely copper, the oxidization is visible. |
There is nothing in copper oxidation that 30 minutes spa in a pint freshly squeeze lemonade cannot solve.
Remember to put a light coat of furniture wax on then buff it off as anti oxidation coating(nickel/chorme plating is way too expensive and poison to do in a garage...) |

Yeah, I just clear coat the sucker on the top. 2 coats is more than enough. Clean it with a tooth brush first, with CLR or other.
