A little cooling fan advice please...

I'm wondering if I should take the time to try something out. I have a dual 120mm rad that I have 4 fans running in a push/pull configuration. I have a couple other 120mm fans on the side of my case to primarily bring in cool air to cool the MOSFETS, GPU heatsink (Zalman) and keep air circulating around my CPU waterblock so that condensation can't start with my TEC cooling.

The problem is balanced airflow. If I bring air from inside the case and exhaust to the outside I use relatively hot air to cool the rad. Not good. If I bring in cool air from the outside and exhaust to the case then I dump hot air in the case. Not really good either. Also, my other fans can't keep up with the volume of the fans on the rad so I create a differential pressure which hinders airflow in any case.

So I was thinking, why not balance the airflow. Have half of the rad exhaust in and the other half out. The slight tubulance created at the boundary of the flow might actually improve convection also. Has anyone ever tried this? I admit, it would not be a lot of work to give this a try but I would like to hear of anyone else's expriences first. I don't want to boot back up and then hear "My computer exploded when I did this! No!!" Well, maybe not that bad but you get this idea.

Looking forward to hearing comments.
