dual 120mm fans Heatercore models

Heyo ,

i've been lookin in some car parts shops for a heatercore by dimentions , but they could only give me by the models ...

i did some searching about it but never found a solid answer..
i saw the 77 Bonneville is pritty good by the dimentions , but it has 3\8" pipes..
im looking for a 1\2" pieping ..

any other ideas ?

1980 Chev Impalla with AC believe its fedco 2-302

Napa Item#: NHC4603026

Believe these are the specs
Length: 5 5/8''
Width: 2''
Height: 10 3/4''
Hose Size: I 3/4'' O 5/8''

Tubes fit 1/2" ID tygon just fine after the end flares are cut off...

edit: fiexd year on HC and added fedco #

I personally like the Fedco 2342 single pass core.

but if you cant accomodate, the bonneville 2199 core is good too!

www.partsamerica.com search for those 2 numbers.

I think that's wrong. The HC database lists both the 2-199 and the 2-302 as having 3/4" and 5/8" fittings.

but a singel pass core will preform worse then a dual one , aint it ?

rundymc 09-02-2004 05:46 AM

by right they are more efficient

So you had the WMDs the entire time and we went after saddam for nothing...
:p
It doesnt matter much whether you get a single or double pass, really it is up to how it is most effecient to route your tubes.

And yes, one double heatercore is plenty for any watercooling setup.

the 77 bonneville (2-199) without AC is 1/2" and is a very straightforward mod
if you can fit a dual HC in your rig it is excellent, tidy, and dual pass

Fedco 2-199
GDI # 398219

go get it

The 77 Bonneville definitely uses 1/2" copper pipe, it's OD is 5/8" so it's a pretty snug fit for 1/2" ID tubing.
