Cheapest place to buy heatercores
Just like the title says. I have been looking for some used BIP's but am getting nowhere and I don't have the patience. So I am back on the core search but I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction since I keep finding $100+ cores. Thanks

I would try AutoZone. www.Dtekcustoms.com has some cores with barbs alredy installed for $30ea.

Yeah I have used Autozone too but now that I am looking for a 10x6x1 core I am getting prices of $100+. I will definately check out the zone though. Thanks.

try autoparts store you can think off...
i tryed advance autoparts, autozone, murrays discount auto, napa, etc. even tryed some local shops specializing in radiator repair. they were teh most expensive though. most of the auto stores buy from the same manufacturer though so prices will be about the same. murrays was the cheapest for me. otherwise got to junkyards, scrapyards, or those things where all the junk cars are in rows with the hoods open to look at parts...saw this on tv somewhere, and this would be great for looking for rads. |

I would really like to get confirmation on the 2-692 as far as materials because I've seen some conflicting information concerning alu vs cu on it. Aaron |
Oooh, 1" thick heatercores. Nice stuff. Would allow me to do a multicolored setup in the same space as a standard.

Sidewinder has the BI Pro II for ~$55 ? (in BLUE too, bling bling)
seems like a lot less hassle |
If it has bling then it is definitely worth the money.
Bling seems to be the magic word on this site this month. I guess big players need bright bling. Seems like a good deal, this would be less hassle. And even new heatercores will have tons of crap in them from soldering and generally need to be cleaned out before installing into the loop. |
always clean a rad, BIs included
|
I hooked up my heatercore to the kitchen sink faucet...
let it run for a few hours... |

Still I'd thought to get some that way, or from a shop that swaps in A/C systems. Changed my mind learning how "the grim comes out". |
How about THIS.
Pretty close, at 6 x 11, and it's only 3/4" thick so it'll work pretty well with your Papst. I just ordered a 9 3/4 x 11 so I can mount 4 120mm Sanyo Denki's. Pretty good stuff. |
