What type of pump for this setup.
 

I'm building a bong cooler setup, that will be 3 feet 3 inches tall. I want to run the water through 1 black ice micro II radiator before it gets there, after passing through my Swiftech MCW6000-A CPU water block and a Swiftech MCW50-T peltier GPU cooler/waterblock and then back through a peltier watercooler creation that will have low resistance. The 1/2" tubing from my case to that will be about 2 feet there and 2 feet back.

Was wondering if I got a eheim 1250 if that would be enough flow for this setup.
And if I were to get a 1260 if that would cause too much PSI for the tubes/clamps to handle.

If anyone could help that would be awesome.

The tubes would be fine with a rise in pressure, but I would not go with a 1260, especially if you are trying to push through a 6000 AND a BIM2 (which is really not necessary in a bong loop.

If I were you , I'd run a mag 3 submersed. The distance to and from the bong is neglegible. If the top of the bong is 3.3ft, it wouldnt make sense to put in a pump that would lose half of its pressure just from pushing it up the bong. The 1260 doesnt have much of an advantage over the mag 3 in pressure and is somewhat overkill.

What do you mean "a peltier watercooler creation that will have low resistance"? A waterchiller? You have me in the dark here. Please post some pictures of what your loop looks like now.

To sum it up: Remove the BIM, get a mag 3, integrate it into the bong somehow.

Does the Mag 3 have to be submersed? is it better then or is it required? Sorry I've never seen that pump. I wanted to keep the pump in my computer for mobile reasons, which is also why I wanted radiators in the loop as well. So I could just leave my bong at home and still use the radiator at LAN's.

As far as the peltier thing goes, I was basically going to make a 110 watt peltier water chiller after it passed through the radiator/bong cooler.

If you think the radiator will cause too much back pressure then, I guess that might be out of the question.

Take out the chiller, it is doing nothing. Especially with a radiator and a bong in the loop. It is only wasting electricity. If you want the thing to be mobile, leave in the radiator and add an MCP 600 or a D4 to the loop. I suggested the mag 3 because it could be submersed and would be nice and quiet and reliable when under water. What you want then is to make a loop with 2 Y fittings. Let me make a paint picture and post it.

OK thanks for the info, that's what my old design looked like for the loop. Recently I decided to just attach a jumper tub to the back when I unplug output tubes. As long as they are above water level, that shouldn't be a problem. I decided to go that route, because I couldn't find any small/cool looking valves, it would be cheaper and I wouldn't have to worry about being a moron and forgetting to open the inside valve for the closed loop, heh.

As far as those pumps go, I take it you don't like the eheim? I've been doing a lot of research on this project, but haven't really found any good pump comparisons out there. I just want to make sure before spending 50-120 dollars that I'm getting my moneys worth and that this will even work.

A.) The pump I get can supply enough pressure without causing too much back pressure on the tubes/waterblock/radiators. Which I guess isn't an issue.

Went ahead and got a MCP650, hopefully that'll do the job. If not I can always buy a 2nd one and run them... parallel?
