Pelted Aluminum MaxiJet Res.
Has anyone ever seen this thing before? Link!
I am considering buying one and strapping a couple of air cooled pelts to it. Any insight?

Would be an interesting experiment, but the general consencous is that pelting reservoirs is of little benefit.

I really want to see the inside of this thing! I'm not looking for a huge temp drop... maybe 5 degrees would be awesome.

I've been using one for about 2-3 years to cool my system. Inside of the box are short (~0.5 - 1cm) lengths of tubing clamped to a maxi-jet inlets. The pump itself is pretty quiet, but it rattles against the sides of the enclosure on occasion. No idea what kind of head the pump has.
If its any help my system runs at the following with this setup and a danger den heater core (1x 120mm).
2.0 Ghz Northwood @ 2.4 Ghz Stock voltage
32 deg C idle 42 deg C under load.

Wouldn't it just be easier to use a water chiller? I mean you would still need to cool the pelts man... How about something like the Swiftech Chiller?

I've got one of these. It's been running for maybe a couple of years, inaudibly. The fill hole is stupidly small requiring the sharpest-nosed funnel to be of any use.
