Any tips on building a DIY bay res?

Hi Everybody, I am building my first WC system and I am putting it inside a chopped mATX case with very little space. I plan on using one of the 3.5" bays for the res. Any tips on building a res?
The res will actually take more that one bay heightwise and will be longer than a HD.
I hope that the sketch below explains my idea:

################ *---* <--------Front of case
**********************---*

I am not worried about cooling the HD so don't even mention it.
I am thinking of making it out of acrylic.

What are your thoughts?

the best advice i can give u is this: find a local plastic supply place in your area and see if they will cut to your dimensions that u want. also, get a good glue while your down there. i reccomend Weld On #16 cement to glue the pieces together. your cuts should be as straight as possible. if they cant cut it for u, then use a table saw with a straight fence for clean cuts. a tap and die set would be good also if u dont have one allready for ur fittings..
